Buy to let flats in Romania
If you do not live permanently in Romania or not at all, it is worth buying and then renting the property. Depending on the location and the quality of the apartment, typical rates reach €250-350/month for a furnished studio flat in Bucharest.
The buy-to-let agencies are currently emerging in Romania, due to the traditional profile of flat owners. Due to financial reasons (i.e. low wages) a typical family cannot afford to buy more than 1-2 flats, which they could privately administer themselves rather than involving an agency.
Another alternative which is currently more and more attractive is short-term rental of serviced flats. Typical rates for rental are approx. €35-45/day, but most such flats are in the very centre of the city. This rental alternative is currently viable only in Bucharest, due to the size and business interest attracted by the city.
