Cheap flights to Bucharest
->
Typical direct flights to Bucharest cost around £200-£250, another reason why the country has not been a popular tourist destination. However, starting January 15th, 2007, Wizz Air will introduce regular flights between UK and Bucharest costing only £55 for a return flight. The flight will be operating between Luton airport and Baneasa airport. Although Baneasa is the secondary airport of Bucharest, it is actually a better choice for arriving/leaving the city, as it is four miles away from the city centre. Comparatively, Otopeni airport is approximately 15 miles away from the city centre.
