Dream Houses - currently available North-West of Bucharest

Dream House development map - North-West of BucharestHow would you like to live in a Dream House? It might not be a personalised experience, but the developer Romedil – medium-sized company on the Romanian real estate market – is currently putting together two projects named Dream House (one and two) – or Casa din Vis if you prefer the Romanian title – next to each other in the North-West of Bucharest. As you can see from the map, the project is nearby Corbeanca and Mogosoaia, both areas quite well-known lately for undergoing housing developments.

To begin with the larger project, Dream House 2 is slightly further from Bucharest (23km) and includes around 60 villas spread over almost 30000sqm. The development is next to the Corbeanca Forest, but you won’t feel in the middle of nowhere, as it also includes a commercial area and a restaurant, as well as tennis courts and a pool.

The sister project, Dream House 1, is closer to DN 7A (DN stands for Drum National / National Road – the Romanian equivalent of A-roads in the UK) and only 18 km from Bucharest. According to the developers, the capital is less than half an hour away by car; this might be a bit optimistic but definitely not impossible, as we’re talking about a route (Bucharest-Targoviste) which is less likely to be inundated with cars (like, for example, DN1 – Bucharest-Ploiesti-Brasov). Smaller in size (only 21 villas), but with larger properties (covering 16000sqm) the project is also positioned near a forest (called, for whatever reason Padurea Raioasa – Scabby Forest) and, apart from the tennis courts, it includes the same utilities as Dream House 2.

Dream House - Casa din Vis - images from the development siteAlthough both Dream House 1 and Dream House 2 projects include only villas, the prices seem too almost too low to be true (maybe that’s where the name comes from :) ) – the sale prices will range between €600-900/sqm, price which includes all fittings. It’s quite difficult to get some clear information from the project’s website due to the slightly cluttered provided details, but looking at one of the pictures from the site, it does seem that the whole project is starting to take shape and that you won’t end up with a wooden cabin but with a proper brick-and-mortar house. You’d better hurry up though if interested – according to the developer, the villas from Dream House 1 are nearly all sold.
