tIMOn - The National Real Estate Fair is now open in Bucharest

If you happen to be in Bucharest this week, it is worth paying a visit to the latest Romanian real estate fair - tIMOn. Unfortunately, the  website of the event is not going to provide you with the information you need, in spite of having an English version. So, if you are interested in new developments from Bucharest and the surrounding area (yes, the fair is national, but most of the listed flats, apartments, and houses are, as expected, from Bucharest), the best thing is to go and visit. For those who won’t be able to make it, we have got some general information which might be of use:

  • 10 new real estate developments were presented at tIMOn, most of them focused on new apartments and flats
  • Over 40 companies are present at the exhibition
  • The range of prices was extremely large, starting from studio flats at a price of €39,500-55,000 up to extravagant designs – houses made of glass in proportion of 80% glass with a price of approximately €1mil.  These houses are planned to be built in Snagov, close to Snagov Lake.
  • The cheapest properties were the studio flats (56-58sqm) from Gradina Soarelui in Costinesti (seaside resort), on sale at  €39,500
  • Triplex houses (ground floor + two levels) were the most popular properties - covering approximately 120sqm for a price between €380,000 and €480,000.
  • And in the end, as a funny note, you might want to know this before buying such a property: some property developers, in order to attract their clients, included €2,000 gold-framed pictures in the price of the furnished flats.
