A new neighbourhood west of Bucharest - Curtea Domneasca
->
Domnesti is one of the satellite villages at the outskirts of Bucharest. 20 years ago it was seen as a village away from the capital, as countryside as it gets. Nowadays it gets update after update and, after another few years, it will become one of the suburbs of the capital. This is the set for an ongoing new medium-sized development: Curtea Domneasca .

Curtea Domneasca is a neighbourhood of 110 villas with pretty significant autonomy, having its own fitness and games clubs, but also a kindergarten, a supermarket, a medical centre, and even a hairdresser and a playground. Although remote in terms of the surrounding area, the project is less than 8 miles south-west from the city centre through some of the less busy roads. The website for this villa complex in fact promotes Curtea Domneasca as the largest new neighbourhood west of Bucharest. The development includes three types of three-bedroom villas, with a built area between 240sqm and 292sqm. You also get a bit of and land around your house – the plots are around 700sqm.
What is the price tag for these villas at the outskirts of Bucharest? The developers simplified the calculation, setting a price of 1200€/sqm. On the downside, you need to add the VAT; on the positive, land plots up to 700sqm are included (but you will have to add another 150€/sqm for anything on top of the 700sqm). Should you want to go for one of them, you can either see one of the already finished (and sold) 17 units, get prepared for the next 26 to be ready in the next couple of weeks, or, if you are not in a rush, you still have time until the end of 2008 to see the entire area finished.
